To our gentleman of time, , you will be in our thoughts for ever , never far away ., you will be the tick tock of our clocks you lived with time ...and your memories , they were yours that's what you used to say ..you can't ever take my memories away from me Like your band with the cornet playing, your light will continue to shine , the brass glint , casting a twinkle as you walk out in the sun ☀️ in golden beats , shinning bright A rhythmic tune to your time .. We all hold keys to open your door , you haven't gone at all like the keys on a piano, notes will vibrate .. the ivories will jump with joy at times , when melodies are played and memories will be our music You were a man of time , you loved your music so ... You loved your memories with great fondness and sharing them in timely ways You knew we could never take away ..that love of your past Like the parades and the paras , the red beret that you wore with pride You knew how to fly , you had your wings , timeless in your flight Landing where you were needed to slow down any fight We remember your regiment with soulful pride Our memories won't fade , they will grow , stay with us , become us We can visit you whenever we want in mind and spirit and time We are , none of us apart Time won't part us We all hold a key to this room and the next .. two keys given by St. Peter Sharing the same band of gold a golden weave holding us together You have only gone out on a lovely walk Nothing has happened it's just a moment in time It's a beginning of a new journey it is not the end A new pathway to walk, new memories and old ones and a time of reflection and love How your beloved dogs will meet and greet you ... their owner now reunited with love The rainbow has guided them to your pot of gold Imagine those tails wagging they have waited for you at the end of the rainbow We will keep your memories .. thinking of you with every walk Your footsteps cemented in time .. When we see fire engines we will think of you , your life was full of love of memories of your time , you often responded to emergency situations, putting yourself in danger for others , you were humble but proud , the fire service was part of your life putting others first You are a gentleman of time... Saving others at risk was part of your journey in time Your memory will continue to live forever like the leaves coming into bud To each of us in precious ways we will remember our man of time Who lived by the seasons all beautiful and changing Your love of nature and the vast oaks in the wood Will provide such solace as we remember you A man for all seasons We will think of you often , talk of you often Remember you Laugh for you and with you You liked fun and people , they all made your day Be free now be at one ..
